The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association announces that RV wholesale shipments into Canada for the third quarter ending Sept. 30th, 2018 totaled 10,141 units, compared to 10,058 in 2017 for the same period, representing an increase of .08 percent for the quarter.
Accumulated Year-to-Date Shipments for the first 9 months of 2018 were 45,666 vs. 39,566 units in 2017, up 15.4 percent overall.
RVDA of Canada reports that Dealer Retail Activity during Q3 totaled 16,954 units, which when compared to the wholesale shipment figure of 10,141 indicates that Canadian Dealer Inventory levels significantly decreased during the third quarter.
