The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Elkhart Plastics announces it reached the milestone of 30 years in business on November 15.
The company was founded in 1988 in a 16,000-square-foot building in Elkhart, Ind. and expanded to a new location in Middlebury, Ind. The company is now one of the top 10 rotational molders in North America and was ranked second in North American sales for 2017 by Plastics News. Elkhart Plastics now operates out of six manufacturing locations in Indiana, Colorado, Washington and Iowa.
The company attributes its success to being ISO 9001 registered, having 56 rotational machines in 850,000 square feet of manufacturing space and more than 650 dedicated team members.
“I’m so proud of our team’s commitment to serving customers and their dedication to creating and maintaining a positive culture,” President and CEO Jack Welter says. “I can’t thank our employees enough for 30 years of discipline, creativity, and most importantly, teamwork.”
