The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Erwin Hymer Group has appointed Jan Francke to the newly created post of chief operations officer.
Francke will work at the company’s head office in Bad Waldsee, Germany. He will be responsible for R&D, supply chain management and operations throughout the Group’s production sites. By creating the COO position, Erwin Hymer Group plans to bring these areas under a single management board member.
Francke was previously COO and general manager at BOS GmbH & Co. KG, an automotive industry systems and component supplier. Earlier he served as general manager for the Brose Group.
“We are delighted that we have been able to recruit a proven expert for this challenging position in the Erwin Hymer Group in Jan Francke,” Group Executive Board Chairman Martin Brandt says. “His management expertise and product know-how in the automotive area makes him the perfect addition to our management team.”
