RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Permatex Makes Management Changes

154394807418090.pngPermatex, a company specializing in chemical technology for RVs and other vehicles, announces appointment of Lee Burtelson as vice president and general manager of its Automotive Aftermarket Group, replacing Andy Robinson, who is retiring. He will be based in Solon, Ohio.

Previously, Burtelson was vice president of strategic marketing for ITW Fluids Platform, where he worked since 2015. Prior to ITW, Burtelson worked for Honeywell and TT Electronics.

In addition, Permatex has promoted Dan Clarke to lead the Traditional Aftermarket Sales group as sales director. Clarke has been with Permatex since 2015 and has served as its senior product manager. Prior to Permatex, Clarke was a business unit manager at Coburn Technologies Inc. and held various management and sales positions with HID Global Corporation.
