Two St. Louis-area firms, Mid America Logistics, a transportation company, and Wise F&I, one of the nation’s largest providers of RV and automotive asset protection services, are teaming to provide support to those affected by the California wildfires. The companies will be collecting donations from Friday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec. 9.
Wise F&I is licensed in all 50 states to provide gap insurance for RV and automotive purchases. The company’s policies pay off deficiency balances up to $500,000 and their RV policies are offered by more than 1,000 RV dealerships nationwide.
Both companies invite those in the Greater St. Louis region, and the Metro East region of Illinois, to donate non-perishable food, non-alcoholic beverages, dry goods and healthcare products. Mid America Logistics and Wise F&I aim to deliver at least two truckloads of these goods to the affected areas of Northern California.
Mid America Logistics’ trailers are slated to depart St. Louis on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and arrive at the affected areas appointed by the two companies by the following weekend.
Those within the Gateway Region willing to donate can drop off supplies at Mid America Logistics and Wise F&I’s corporate offices at 900 South Highway Drive on the eastbound side of Interstate 44 in Fenton. Donors should look for a Mid America Logistics trailer and team members from both organizations when bringing in their donations. Personnel will be on site from 9 to 5 on Friday, Dec. 7; Saturday, Dec. 8; and Sunday, Dec. 9. All donations should be sealed goods.
