The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

The Pennsylvania Recreational Vehicle & Camping Association (PRVCA) plans a trailer inspection webinar from 10 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 5. The webinar, free to PRVCA members, will review the Pennsylvania Vehicle Equipment & Inspection Regulations Manual with emphasis on subchapters A, B, C and D. PRVCA will discuss operations regulations, semi-annual vs. annual inspection, newly purchased vehicles, required signs and certificates, inspection area requirements, sticker expirations, sticker security, required tools and obligations of inspectors.
The webinar will also include subchapter G, including recreational, semi and utility trailers. Registered participants will be provided with log-in information a few days before the Feb. 5 training. Audio recordings will be available for those who cannot participate live.
PRVCA says participants can learn more about the application of equipment standards vs. procedure regulations, external inspection, ownership and insurance, glazing and required door lights, interior requirement, tires, frame, brakes, electric, surge, tires and wheels, lighting and wheels and road testing.
There will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation. PRVCA asks participants to email questions to email@example.com to be answered during the webinar.
