RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

PRVCA Announces Training Registration

151510895071011.pngThe Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PVRCA) announces its training schedule for Q1 2019, at various Pennsylvania locations.

Jan. 29 will see Norcold/Thetford product training at the Holiday Inn WilkesBarre – East Mountain in Wilkes-Barre. Feb. 5 is an online trailer inspection webinar via the PRVCA web site. Feb. 7 will be a Suburban products seminar at Boyer RV in Erie. A Feb. 20 session at Stoltzfus RV’s & Marine in West Chester will cover servicing Lippert Components Inc. products. Finally, training on Reese, Tekonsha and Bulldog products will take place March 6 at the Comfort Inn hotel in New Stanton.

The Suburban session in Erie currently has only 15 seats left. Designed for beginning and intermediate RV techs, the training qualifies for 8 recertification hours. Techs will need to bring their own multi-meters and small tools.
