The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

K.Z. Inc., a subsidiary of Thor Industries Inc., debuts its Durango Half-Ton, designed for luxury fifth-wheeling with a smaller footprint.
“The mid-profile Half-Ton is lightweight and compact, but also loaded with luxury standards at a very nice price point,” General Manager Brent Froman says. “All seven floorplans are under 12,000 pounds GVWR, for towing with almost any truck.”
The standard Towing Package includes a two-inch receiving hitch, 4-pin wire harness, 300-pound hitch rating and 3,000-pound tow rating. Owners can also extend their season with Half-Ton’s standard Climate Package, which keeps tanks and pipes safely tucked away in the heated, insulated and enclosed underbelly.
“Interior upgrades include 5/8-inch tongue-and-groove plywood flooring, maple-glazed hardwood slideout fascia, an under-mount stainless steel kitchen sink and LED TV with multimedia stereo and DVD. All floorplans, including the D256RKT, shown, include an upgraded tri-fold hide-a-bed.
