Elkhart Supply Corp. (ESCO) announces PEXLock, a no-metal crimp system, listed for use in housing, RV, Marine and heating applications. The PEXLock is patented internationally because of its engineered locking mechanism. Once installed, it locks down on the pipe, always pushing back as the pipe and fitting exert opposite pressure, achieving a leak-free connection.
The install is created using slip joint pliers and requires no expensive installation tools or tool calibration. The clamp can be removed using a small blade screwdriver and then re-installed. The high-tech polymer used to mold the PEXLock and its mating EcoPoly fittings are rated at 45 degrees below zero and up to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. The clamp has been tested and listed to all industry standards and code approvals.
PEXLock and the EcoPoly fittings can be installed on all PEX and PERT pipe products and can be used with some polyvinyl pipe as well. PEXLock is offered in 3/8-inch, ½-inch, ¾-inch and 1-inch sizes of pipe. PEXLock is a registered brand name of Flair-It, manufactured by Flair-It and distributed by ESCO in Indiana and Legget Supply of Oklahoma.
