The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Torklift International Inc. is hosting a training seminar at the Arrow Distributing Exhibitor’s Showcase at Bally’s Casino in Las Vegas The seminar will cover new and updated Torklift products related to towing, steps and suspension, as well as giving attendees tips for developing an online presence.
“We are unveiling several new products at the seminar in additional to going over advancements on existing lines,” National Sales Manager Kyle Bonita says.
In addition to new product developments, Torklift will share sales and marketing information that could benefit any dealer who wants to learn how to have a quick and complete online presence to be found easily through Google.
“We are also going to offer training to dealers on how to use Google My Business for their brick and mortar locations,” Bonita says, “as well as talk about best practices for service writers that are universal for any product line.
“Google My Business is a tool for brick and mortar dealers that shows retail customers where to find their business and other basic information and allows businesses to be associated with key words that their customers are searching right now in order to be linked up with a business that would help them. It’s simple and easy to use and takes little time to support.”
Torklift began as a brick and mortar dealer and has more than 40 years of experience training service writers how to sell various brands.
“We want to share some valuable things that have helped our dealer base grow over many decades, along with pitfalls that are easy to avoid when it comes to training service writers to sell any brand,” Bonita says. “By selling more than 100 brands, we hope to share techniques that have expanded businesses for more than 40 years.”
The training will take place in the Bronze Room at the trade show on Jan. 15 at 10 a.m.
