2019 RVIA Economic Impact Study

The new RVs Move America Economic Impact Study, released June 3, 2019 at the annual meeting of RVIA, revealed the RV industry has an overall economic impact on the US economy of $114 billion, supporting nearly 600,000 jobs, contributing more than $32 billion in wages, and paying more than $12 billion in federal, state, and local taxes. The announcement was made by Garry Enyart, RVIA chairman, and Onan/Cummins Director of Mobile Generator Sales & Coach Care.

Southwire Adds New Surge Guard Products

Other new features include elevated ground protection and load-side open neutral (higher than normal voltage) protection. All are covered with a limited lifetime warranty with connected equipment coverage.

“Our goal continues to be providing the highest level of electrical protection for RV owners,” Southwire’s Director of Sales, Mobile Power & Electrical Safety Bobby Raatz says. “These products offer several new benefits to our customers that protect not only their RV but the electrical equipment they use inside.”

Key features of the Southwire Surge Guard 44380 (30A version) & 44390 (50A version) include fully enclosed receptacle covers for extra protection against environmental conditions.

Key features of the Southwire Surge Guard 34931 (30A version), 34951 (50A version) and 40301 (Wireless LCD Display) include optional wireless communication capabilities, low- and high-frequency protection, elevated ground line current protection and RV side electrical protection. The Surge Guard 34591 (50A version) also includes high-neutral current and patent pending load-side open neutral protection.
