RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RV Composites Panel Growth to Accelerate

154955751176932.pngStratview Research released a report on the RV composites panel market. The report studies market trends from 2013 to 2018 and offers a forecast covering 2019 to 2024.

Stratview says the industry has seen a transition in terms of panel material and design with composites now the preference over wood or metal with weight reduction the goal of RV OEMs. Stratview estimates the composites panel market for RVs will reach a value of nearly $555 million in 2024. The increase in RV production and a shift from traditional wood panels to composites are the primary growth drivers, according to Stratview. For the full report, click here.
