The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Per-Arne Blomquist, CFO and deputy CEO of Dometic Corp., plans to leave the company to focus on new and existing board assignments. The company says Blomquist will be supportive in the recruitment process and will remain in his position during the transition.
“I have truly appreciated being part of the fantastic Dometic journey for five years, and I have enjoyed working with great people in creating an even stronger company,” Blomquist says. “Dometic is well positioned for continued profitable growth, and I remain fully dedicated to the company over the coming months.”
Dometic President and CEO Juan Vargues says Blomquist played an important role in the company’s development in recent years and built a professional and efficient finance organization.
“He was instrumental in taking the company public and has successfully initiated a number of key activities making us the company we are today,” Vargues says. “I want to sincerely thank Per-Arne for his contribution, and I wish him great success in the future.”
