155205411728601.pngA 1968 hit song by Paul Mauriot proclaimed “Love is Blue.” While that was about blue of a different shade, more than a half century later at least one new unit debuting at next week’s RVX: The RV Experience may excite lovers of the color.

Travel Lite RV will debut units of it 2020 Evoke X-Series at RVX: The RV Experience in Salt Lake City March 12-14, including a lightweight travel trailer with an exclusive shade of blue (pictured left).

Travel Lite President Dustin Johns says his company will bring two of the X-Series to RVX. One will be white with a gelcoat fiberglass exterior and the other will be electric blue, a custom color Travel Lite developed in tandem with an Alabama-based automotive color specialist.

“We spent several hours with the company’s chemist developing this color until we got it right,” Johns says.

The model will also be available in gray gelcoat. The X-Series will feature six floorplans overall, including a toy hauler. Units range from 20 to 27 feet in length. Johns says interiors will feature soft curtains, rather than hard valances, resulting in an upscale look.

Johns says the Evoke Model KX features a large rear kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a one-piece molded countertop. Flooring will be marine grade. Weight will be under 3,500 pounds.

“It’s a very upscale product and really lightweight,” Johns says. “It should appeal to millennials.”

Travel Lite will bring a total of eight units to RVX, including full-size Evoke units and a truck camper.

“We will be showing a lot of stuff in our super lightweight models,” Johns says. “They will really stand out.”
