Jayco, Inc. received an honor from Indiana Gov. Eric J. Holcomb today, recognizing the RV manufacturer as one of the state’s companies recently passing the 50-year mark. Holcomb presented awards to 65 companies and organizations that recently reached 50 or 100 years in business.
"Today we honor businesses that have helped lay a foundation for economic success in Indiana, maintaining operations for more than 50 to 100 years and creating long-term career opportunities for Hoosiers," Holcomb says. "Through a strong dedication to their employees, their businesses and their communities, these companies exemplify the pioneering spirit and perseverance that will push our state forward for years to come."
The Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards honor Hoosier businesses that have also demonstrated a commitment to community service. More than 1,500 Indiana companies have been recognized during the award's 28-year history.
Jayco, now 51 years old, employs more than 3,000 people and supplies more than 300 dealers across the U.S.
“Everyone at Jayco is honored to receive this award,” Jayco President and CEO Derald Bontrager says. “Fifty years in business is possible when you have great people employed and the support of local and state officials. Jayco and the Bontrager family have been blessed by being part of a great community and state which have made the 50 years an enjoyable and rewarding journey."
