RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Jayco Names New Marketing VP

Jayco says Martin has more than 20 years of RV industry experience and a successful track record on both the OEM and supplier sides of the business. In this new role as vice president of marketing he will lead the marketing initiatives for Jayco and its subsidiaries, Entegra Coach, Highland Ridge, and Starcraft. Jayco says Martin brings an innovative marketing approach focused on creating an unparalleled customer connection and ownership experience.

“We are fortunate to add someone with such impressive credentials and proven experience in this industry,” Jayco COO Matt Thompson says. “Bill brings a very unique perspective having not only worked in marketing but also has a strong sales background and solid foundation in the field. That broad experience, coupled with his genuine passion for the RV Industry, will help us take our marketing efforts to the next level.”

An Indiana native, Martin earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Purdue University. Martin started his RV career at Coachmen where he quickly moved up the ranks to vice president of Marketing. Martin also gained experience on the supplier side of the industry as the sales and marketing director for Atwood Mobile Products, and most recently he led the marketing for Grand Design RV.
