The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

ATC now has a new fifth-wheel toy hauler available. The manufacturer says it has a completely re-imagined interior.
“We added a lot of standard features,” says Dale Davis, who handles sales for ATC’s toy hauler division. “We now have an 18-cubic-foot refrigerator, a standard three-burner stainless steel cooktop and oven. We totally redesigned the cabinetry to a Euro-style cabinet. The interior has a modern, clean look.”
ATC previously offered just a 40-foot toy hauler. Now, it is also available in 32- and 36-foot models. Davis says ATC dealers recently came to the manufacturer’s facility in Nappanee, Ind., for an unveiling. The company now has 28 dealers, he says.
“The really big thing that separates us from everyone else is that we build our all-aluminum frame from the ground up,” Davis says. “The entire shell is welded-cage aluminum. It makes it super strong and much lighter than most of what’s out there.”
Davis says ATC plans to build 70 to 100 of the new model in 2019. ATC has added a dedicated production line for fifth wheels, he says
