A judge denied a unsecured creditor’s request to extend or delay the sale of bankrupt RV manufacturer Erwin Hymer Group North America, according to the Waterloo Region Record newspaper.
KS2 Corp. Inc., a Montreal-based electronic engineering and manufacturing company that is owed more than $7 million by Erwin Hymer North America, filed a motion last week to extend the possible sale beyond the April 8 deadline requested by the receiver.
The company went into receivership on Feb. 15, putting about 850 employees out of work.
The Record says 35 former employees have been hired to assist with the receivership process and to keep the properties in "warm idle" mode should a new owner decide to resume production.
