2019 RVIA Economic Impact Study

The new RVs Move America Economic Impact Study, released June 3, 2019 at the annual meeting of RVIA, revealed the RV industry has an overall economic impact on the US economy of $114 billion, supporting nearly 600,000 jobs, contributing more than $32 billion in wages, and paying more than $12 billion in federal, state, and local taxes. The announcement was made by Garry Enyart, RVIA chairman, and Onan/Cummins Director of Mobile Generator Sales & Coach Care.

Rear View Safety Hires Product Development Engineer

155801393212991.pngRear View Safety has hired Allan McGuire as a product development engineer. He comes to Rear View Safety with extensive experience in management and technology on an international level, as well as a strong background in high power shortwave and AM and FM radio rrequency engineering management.

McGuire started working out of the Elkhart, Ind. Rear View Safety office in late April. In addition to working with our RV customers to develop applications, McGuire will provide engineering input to Rear View Safety's growing RV-focused team to expand the client base by improving current products and building new products with input from customers.

"I am looking forward to working with Rear View Safety's team and customers, utilizing our products to build industry solutions,” McGuire says. “This is an exciting opportunity for developing and implementing new ideas and to expand our engineering capabilities."

Prior to joining Rear View Safety, McGuire co-founded and acted as senior design engineer and director of IP for Vast Power Systems, Inc, a company focused on clean power and good stewardship. He has also worked as a product engineer at Lippert Components, Inc.

Safe Fleet acquired Rear View Safety in 2016. Based in Brooklyn, Rear View Safety specializes in working with OEMs across many industries to produce camera safety products.
