The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Matt Miller is the new director of innovation and marketing at Challenger Door, a supplier of custom doors for the RV industry. It is a newly created position for the company.
Miller, an 18-year veteran of the RV industry, has served as a sales account manager at Challenger for the last 10 years. He will work alongside Challenger’s leadership, R&D, and sales teams to innovate, develop, and market new products for the RV industry and the other markets that Challenger Door serves.
“We’re looking forward to see the direction, ideas, and vision Matt will bring to this new role at Challenger,” says Challenger Door President Merlin Yoder. “His sales experience and the relationships he’s developed within the RV market will be a great asset for our customers and Challenger Door going forward.”
