RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVDA Convention Features Business Development Expert

155853523673287.pngThe 2019 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will feature a 60-minute session by Meaghan Cooper, director of operations at PowerBDC. The convention/expo is set for Nov. 11-15 at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas strip.

During her workshop, “What is Your Lead Handling Process Costing You?”, Cooper will demonstrate how a lead should be handled from the start, down to the final stages of the customer’s buying cycle.

Cooper will discuss internet leads generated through the internet, floor traffic, and referrals.
During this workshop, attendees will learn:

• How to engage with their traffic and existing database properly to increase sales without additional marketing expense
• The importance of follow up chains, word tracks, and communication campaigns
• Creativity skills and how to target properly with the right communication resources.

The convention is sponsored by RVDA–The National RV Dealers Association, RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center. The tracked education program includes targeted content on F&I, sales, social media/eMarketing/BDC, fixed operations, rental operations, and general management. In its planning, the convention committee focuses on providing dynamic presentations on the most important relevant and timely topics in the RV industry. The committee strives to offer a program that includes both well-known experts from within the RV industry, as well as new presenters with fresh and thought-provoking ideas from other industries.
