RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Challenger Door Adds Account Managers

155855305359327.pngRV industry supplier Challenger Door has added Chris Beam and Tyler Priem to its sales staff.

Beam (pictured right in photo) comes to Challenger Door after 18 years at Pepsi where he held positions as restaurant sales representative, delivery supervisor, and delivery driver.

Priem joins Challenger after working in purchasing and process improvement within the RV industry over the past four years.

“Chris and Tyler are a great compliment to our current sales team and we’re very excited to have them join the Challenger family,” says Challenger Door President Merlin Yoder. “The unique combination of their previous work experience will definitely be an asset to Challenger and our entire sales team as we continue to cultivate our partnerships within the RV industry and other industries we serve.”
