Grand Design RV CEO and President Don Clark (shown left) gave the Indiana Republican a tour of the company’s Middlebury, Ind., campus and factory.

"The fact that he cares about not only our company but our industry, to get more involved and learn more about it, it's fantastic," Clark says.

Braun also got inside several RVs that were set up outside the plant.

"Unbelievable," he said. "It's excellent value and I think it would make someone want to hit the road in one of them."

Since the beginning of 2013, the Winnebago Industries subsidiary has expanded from 35 to more than 1,700 employees. The company’s 100,000th RV is set to come off the line this summer.
