RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RV/MH Hall of Fame to Honor 10 Industry Leaders

156020543572828.jpgThis year’s RV/MH Hall of Fame golf fundraiser and dinner celebration for its 2019 inductees kicks off on Aug. 5 at Christiana Creek Country Club (pictured) in Elkhart, Indiana.

A shotgun start, where players tee off from different holes at the same time, is set for 8 a.m. The annual tournament will wrap up with an afternoon luncheon and awards ceremony.

Hall of Fame President Darryl Searer said anyone who wants to golf and support the organization should make reservations now.

"The Golf Classic is the morning of the day of the RV/MH Hall of Fame Class of 2019 Induction Dinner and ceremonies at the Northern Indiana Event Center in Elkhart," he said.

That's when the RV/MH Heritage Foundation plans to recognize the distinguished careers and lifetime achievements of the 10 industry leaders who are being included this year. Half of the 2019 inductees represent the RV industry and the other five work in the manufactured housing business.

"Everyone is welcome so we hope to see a large turnout for these honorees,” Searer said. “Make a day of it by also signing up for our annual Golf Classic fundraiser."
