The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Lazydays RV has signed a letter of intent to buy Alliance Coach. The RV dealership near Ocala, Florida sells brands such as Thor, Forest River, Holiday Rambler, Renegade and Vanleigh.
Alliance also has a strong service business, which fits Lazydays RV’s focus, according to a news release about the planned acquisition. It plans to add to its service presence and operations in Florida.
"Alliance is strategically located near the intersection of I-75 and the Florida Turnpike and will give us excellent access to the rapidly growing Ocala and Orlando markets," Lazydays Chairman and Chief Executive Officer William P. Murnane said. “We are honored that Judy Shapiro has entrusted Lazydays to carry on with the wonderful dealership and outstanding team of employees she built with her late husband, Alan.”
The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the next 60 days. Upon closing, Alliance Coach will be rebranded as Lazydays RV of Central Florida.
