156157121141435.gifThe RVIA is taking nominations of industry leaders who want to run for one of seven positions on its board of directors that are up for election this year for the 2020 to 2022 term. Members can nominate themselves or a colleague for a three-year position set to begin Jan. 1.

The open positions are:

Three supplier representatives
Two manufacturer representatives
One park model manufacturer representative
One at-large representative

The board directors are the highest level of authority in the association's overall organizational structure and are responsible for setting and overseeing strategy and policy related to critical topics such as standards, marketing, government affairs, trade shows, industry education and association finances. The RVIA is seeking strong candidates from member companies to uphold those responsibilities.

At the June 2018 meeting, the board decided to move the association's financials from a fiscal year to a calendar year. As a result, the current positions listed above have terms that extend until Dec. 31, rather than Sept. 30 as it has in previous years.

To make a nomination, contact Dianne Dunleavy at ddunleavy@rvia.org or 571-665-5850. The deadline is July 26.

Elections are scheduled for September and the winners will be announced in October. Those elected are expected to attend the next board meeting on Nov. 12 during the 2019 RV Dealers Convention and Expo in Las Vegas for transition and orientation training.
