156286121246184.jpgVitrifrigo, one of the world’s most recognized names in refrigeration and cooling systems for mobile applications, has been quietly building awareness in the RV industry over the past year. The Italian manufacturer of refrigerators has established fifteen years of providing products for the luxury yacht business from their U.S. headquarters in Pompano Beach, Fla.

“We are a 50+ year old company known for the quality of our products and the superior technology we continue to introduce throughout all our product lines. RVs are a priority for a company today,” says Nelson Pinheiro, Director Sales & Marketing for the company’s US operations. “We are building a dedicated team to support our current and future customers, making sure they have the service they deserve and expect. We will be showcasing our products at the supplier exhibit inside the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum during Dealer Open House Week that will be held September 23-26 this year. We are also speaking to several OEMs and hope to have some of our refrigerators in their new Type B and Type C motorhomes and some travel trailers on display for visiting dealers.”

The new DRW180A all-in-one compressor drawer refrigerator system features a button allowing consumers to configure one drawer as a refrigerator and one as a freezer, or both as refrigerators, or both as freezers. The units require no outside venting and will provide engineering and floorplan flexibility for putting the units in islands, peninsula cabinets, etc.

The second unit, the Slim 150 is already being used exclusively on a few camper vans that will be introduced shortly. This is an ideal unit for Type B and Type C motorhomes built on the Mercedes-Benz, RAM ProMaster and Ford Transit chassis. The design flexibility of this refrigerator/freezer combination provides an appliance not previously available in the RV industry.

The innovative Airlock latch system, quite mode, reduced energy consumption during evening hours and the ability to quickly reach desired temperature level—without waiting for propane systems to reach useable temperatures—will set these units apart from the competition. The three-star rated 16-liter freezer can store frozen food at a temperature of 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

“OEMs that want to evaluate the Vitrifrigo products versus what they are currently building into their RVs can call me directly,” Pinheiro says, “and we will provide them an evaluation unit after establishing parameters they want to see before considering adding our products into their products.”
