Golight announces release a line of improved remote-controlled LED and halogen searchlights that allow simplified control of one or more lights from a single remote.
The Stryker ST Series includes a new remote-control unit that features easy to understand functions and larger buttons that can be operated while wearing gloves.
“Our research showed customers wanted a less complex lamp-and-controller pairing and on-command return-to-home function,” Golight Director of Product Development Colt Hosick says.
The new controller lets the operator pan and tilt simultaneously or individually, he says. “These new functions promote versatility, convenience and simplicity and reduce the number of remote controls that a vehicle must carry.”
Based in Culbertson, Neb., Golight supplies remote-control lighting products the RV industry as well as lines of searchlights for first responder, marine and military applications.
The company reports the new remote-control for the Stryker ST series pairs easily with searchlights and the operates at 2.4 GHz, which “virtually eliminates possible intra-lamp interference, even in instances where many Stryker ST lamps and controllers are being used in the same vicinity,” it says.
The Stryker ST comes standard with 12-volt electrical system compatibility and available 24-volt compatibility. The lamps come with either LED or halogen light sources. The LED is said to produce a 410,000-candela beam projecting to a maximum distance of 4,200 feet. The halogen lamp produces a 200,000-candela beam projecting to a maximum distance of 2,933 feet.
