2019 RVIA Economic Impact Study

The new RVs Move America Economic Impact Study, released June 3, 2019 at the annual meeting of RVIA, revealed the RV industry has an overall economic impact on the US economy of $114 billion, supporting nearly 600,000 jobs, contributing more than $32 billion in wages, and paying more than $12 billion in federal, state, and local taxes. The announcement was made by Garry Enyart, RVIA chairman, and Onan/Cummins Director of Mobile Generator Sales & Coach Care.

Turning RV Renters into Buyers Topic at Dealer Convention

156380555861256.pngDealers can learn about managing RV rental customers and how to convert them to buyers at a newly added session during the upcoming RV Dealers Association Convention and Expo in Las Vegas.

As part of the rental education track at this year’s RVDA Convention and Expo, the hour-long session will be led by Paige Bouma, Trader Interactive Vice President for Recreational Brands. The workshop starts at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Bouma, a new convention speaker, has experience in digital advertising, large-scale partnerships, customer service, and dealership consultation. Her program is called Rise of the RV Renter: Tapping into the Newest RV Revenue Stream.

Topics include research into who rental consumers are, from demographics to their online behaviors.

“More than half of these individuals rent an RV two to three times before purchasing and 76 percent of renters saying they are likely to buy in the next two years,” Bouma says.

Workshop attendees will learn what separates an RV renter from a buyer, ways to meet renters’ expectations and how rental environments help convert renters into buyers.
