Ideal where space is at a premium, the Mini-Maid which measures 19.5" high, by 19.75" wide, and 19.75" deep can handle eight complete place settings per load. American Standard, the world's largest manufacturer of products for the plumbing industry, has started production on water heaters for the RV industry at its Trane Co. manufacturing facility in Mexico City.

The new line features both 6 and 10 gallon sizes with BTU input rates of 16,400. Tests indicate that the higher input rates will provide between 36% and 60% more hot water than similar storage type water heaters currently being used in the industry. The water heaters are available for both LP gas and combination LP gas and electric fuel sources.

The water heaters feature steel tanks employing a new production process that permits all welding to be performed prior to the application of American Standard's exclusive Duroglass coating. Higher input rates are achieved with the utilization of a new Turbo Flow combustion chamber on which a patent is pending. The water heaters also incorporate other new features including tapered door flanges for a more "flush mount" appearance. The water heaters have both ANSI and UL certifications for the U.S. and Canada.
