Audiovox Specialized Applications has added another new product to their Flexvision line - a 5" Drop Down LCD Television that mounts under the counter top. This unique product can be used not only as a television but also as a monitor to keep an eve on the kids while working in the kitchen by using their optional wireless remote control camera. Auto-programming, AV/TV select, volume control, channel select, and power on/off can be accessed through the remote or on the panel itself. CD-ROM Navigation Software for Cross
Country Travelers

Alpine Electronics is now shipping its Coast2Coast navigation disc, a single CD-ROM that covers the entire country and the first of its kind for the U.S. market. This navigation software allows users access to highways and streets across the country and is not limited to specific regions. The Coast2Coast CD-ROM is ideal for RVers, and long-haul truckers. The system offers 350- and 150-mile display views. In the 350-mile view, the U.S. is shown continuously with state names and borders, while the 150-mile view display shows state names, borders and interstate highways. Users can look up their destination by city name, as well as Points of Interest.

Features of this navigation system allow users to enter up to eight destinations they plan to visit and store the information. The system is able to store up to 20 past destinations taken, allowing users to retrieve that information if needed. Coast2Coast will calculate travel time across different time zones, and will adjust arrival time to the time zone of the destination. Up to 90 listings can be stored in the system, and the map display zoom levels range from 1/2-mile, 2-miles, 5-miles, 15-miles, 50-, 150- and 350-miles per half inch.
