Four Honored with RVDA
Chairman's Service Award

Two RVDA retailer members and two RVDA associate members were honored with Chairman's Service Awards in September during the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Orlando, FL.

The awards were presented by RVDA Past Chairman of the Board Randy Biles of Pikes Peak Traveland, Colorado Springs, CO. The 2000 Chairman's Service Award recipients are:

John Anderson of A'Weigh We Go in Chuckey, TN. Biles said, "John Anderson's goal has been to get RV users the information they need to enjoy RV products safely. He consistently solves safety issues by being an ally to the RV industry and not an adversary." Anderson conducts seminars for consumers on issues like proper loading techniques and weight distribution in RVs.

Jess Fowler of DTI RV Parts and Appliances in Middlebury, IN. "Jess Fowler has a strong understanding of what it takes for a parts distributor to work well with the dealer body," Biles said. Fowler serves on the RVDA Convention /Expo Committee and as chairman of the Expo task force. Jess' father Hal Fowler also received the award in 1997.

Rick Horsey of Parkview RV in Smyrna, DE. "As Chairman of The RVDA Education Foundation and a member of the RVDA Board of Directors, Rick Horsey devotes an enormous amount of time to the association and the RV industry," Biles said. "He truly cares about the success of his fellow dealers." Horsey, a former chairman of RVDA, recently chaired a task force that created a more representative organizational structure for the association.

Gary Motley of Motley RV Repair in Oklahoma City, OK. "Gary Motley is incredibly focused on customer satisfaction," Biles said. "He spends many hours with RV technicians, dealers, manufacturers, and suppliers to improve the service experience for RV owners." Motley has served on RVDA's AfterMarket Committee and is on the task force that updates the RVDA Education Foundation's popular Service Management Guide.

The Chairman's Service Award award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the association over an extended period of time.
