RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

The Maryland Recreational Vehicle Dealer's Association was founded in 1965, incorporated in 1969 and is a group of RV dealers throughout the state that sell motor homes, travel trailers and conversion vehicles. Later in its history, the membership was extended to include suppliers, repair facilities, banks and F&I companies. The MRVDA holds two RV shows each year in Timonium that take place during the last two full weekends of February and a weekend in September, respectively.


The Florida RV Trade Association is an organization representing many of the RV dealers, suppliers, manufacturers, campgrounds and other industry members that call the Sunshine State home. The FRVTA puts on several industry and consumer shows throughout the year.

The Family Motor Coach Association is an international organization for families who own and enjoy the RV lifestyle in motorhomes. The association is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and visits many of the states in the nation throughout the year for showcases, owners groups and other representative efforts.

The California Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association represents most of the RV dealerships throughout the Golden State. Dedicated to the RVing experience, these entrepreneurial member companies strive to provide the utmost customer service and employee satisfaction.
