The 2011 Ventana will feature newly designed front and rear caps, dash and instrument panels, providing the operator with an ergonomically designed cockpit.

Interior design changes include newly styled furniture, slide out fascias and window treatments, as well as a new contemporary headboard in the bedroom. The standard flooring offered in the 2011 Ventana features polished porcelain tile laid on a diagonal with small designer inserts throughout the front living area. The Ventana for 2011 is available in three interior decors, three exterior paint colors and two wood choices.

The 2011 Ventana is being offered exclusively on the Freightliner® XC-R series motorhome chassis. The 34' and 39' models will be powered by a 350 horsepower Cummins® ISB engine while the 43' tag axle models feature a 360 horsepower Cummins® ISC power plant. As with all Newmar diesel motorhomes, the 2011 Ventana will be equipped standard with the Comfort Drive™ Steering System.

Floorplans include two 34', three 39' and three 43' tag axle models. The 43' offerings include a bath and a half floorplan, one side aisle model as well as a traditional rear bedroom quad slide layout. Full wall slides are offered in one 34' and one 39' model. One 39' model even features a wardrobe with removable doors in the hallway that can be converted into two large bunk beds in a matter of seconds. MSRP's for the 2011 Ventana start at $218,858.

New options being offered in Ventana for 2011 include Sleep Number Deluxe® air mattress in the bedroom, a residential refrigerator with a pure sine wave inverter and two extra batteries on select models, as well as (on certain floorplans) an exterior entertainment center with a Sony® 40' television, remote radio and two speakers located in the sidewall beneath the patio awning.

Though smaller in stature, the Aluma-Lite is built with large size features. A king size 61-gallon fresh water tank allows for extended camping capabilities, a critical component with today’s RV’ers. Also king size, the extra large exterior bay stores all equipment in a central, convenient location. Entry inside the Aluma-Lite is made easy with a extra wide 26-inch wide entrance door. Inside, again oversize features make the Aluma-Lite feel spacious. The kitchen boasts a large 42” x 18” space accented by a large 48” x 36” window at the dinette. The king size functional wardrobe measures a grand 25”W x 43”T x 25”D, once again providing storage for extended stays.

For improved fuel economy, the Aluma-Lite front cap is aerodynamically designed to reduce wind turbulence and drag. The battery access is built into the entryway for easy maintenance, along with a 5,000 pound hitch for towing. The Aluma-Lite Class C will be available in five floorplans, from 23 to 31 feet.

Gulf Stream Coach Inc., recently introduced the all new Visa Ultra Lightweight Travel Trailer, and dealers are reporting tremendous retail activity. Dealers report record web site traffic and customers crowding to see the Visa at retail shows.

Inside is the industry’s first and only slide room out the rear doors of a class B (patent pending). With the slide room retracted behind the rear doors, you’ll have the convenience of less than 20 feet of vehicle length when parking and driving. Open the rear doors to extend the slide room for an extra 3 feet of living space when you reach your final destination for the day. By using the existing rear door opening, the vehicle’s original structural integrity is not compromised in any way.

The slide-out allows an extra 3 feet of vehicle length to dedicate to a larger permanent bathroom, larger 5 cu. ft. refrigerator and more storage (including an area specifically made for those large reclining lawn chairs). The slide room contains half of the double bed which converts to a sofa (with 2 seat belts).

Along with the sofa, a table and two jump seats create a nice rear seating area for four. A table for the two front captain seats provides a seating area separate from the rear bed.

Dealer reaction to this new model was excellent. “We sold 19 the first day of the show!” exclaimed Roadtrek chairman Jeff Hanemaayer. “I knew it would sell well after using the first prototype personally on two trips this past summer and fall. It has the livability of a much larger unit when you’re at the camp site yet it’s so easy slip into a regular sized parking spot” continued Hanemaayer.
