RVIA members and partners attended 107 meetings Wednesday with federal legislators and decision-makers during Advocacy Day.

Advocacy Day is the highlight of RVs Move America Week. A total of 100 RVIA members and partners took part.

Jason Rano, RVIA’s vice president of government affairs, said engaging with policymakers was important to achieve legislative goals and secure a stronger future.

“As we conclude another successful Advocacy Day,” he said, “we would like to thank our members and partners for continuing to champion the RV industry on Capitol Hill. Engaging with policymakers is a key component of achieving these legislative priorities and, ultimately, building more support for the RV industry in Congress and the administration.”

Among the issues discussed with legislators were strategic tariff implementation. RVIA said members raised concerns about tariff uncertainty hindering business planning and investment. The direct impact of retaliatory tariffs on motorized RV exports was also a concern. Advocates highlighted the difficulty in reshoring all parts and materials, and the need for a tailored exclusion process.

Members discussed the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act, which would restore floorplan interest deductibility to towable RVs. Members also advocated for reauthorizing the Legacy Restoration Fund. RVIA said the fund has made transformative investments in public lands and gateway communities.

Members also encouraged officials to join the RV Caucus and support the industry. RVIA said the caucus helps educate colleagues on the industry and the issues involving RV businesses.
