Battle Born Expands Heated Battery Lineup

Battle Born Batteries launched its latest heated battery, the BBGC2H. The battery provides 100-amp hours of 12-volt power.

By adding a heating element inside the battery, charge and discharge restrictions have been expanded below freezing by incorporating a low-draw, internal heating system to combat external cold. The heating element can be enabled and disabled with a switch to prevent accidental usage.

Normally, Battle Born lithium-ion batteries stop accepting a charge at 25 degrees Fahrenheit but continue to discharge electricity down to minus–4 degrees. The Battle Born battery management system prevents cold temperature charging to avoid damaging the battery.

Deep-cycle LiFePO4 batteries can be discharged to 100 percent of their rated capacity every time. LiFePO4 batteries can be charged five times faster than lead-acid batteries.

The BBGC2H is backed by a 10-year warranty.
