The average wholesale selling price for motorized units and towables was up in July, according to this month’s Black Book Report.

RV dealers said their inventories are approaching a comfortable level, especially on the towable side, said Black Book Principle Analyst for Specialty Markets Eric Lawrence, and most report good floor traffic for the time of year.

The average selling price for towables was $20,257, up $61 (0.3%) from the previous month. One year ago, the average selling price was $23,654, a 16.7% decrease year-over-year.

The average selling price for motorized units was $73,615, up $4,667 (6.7%) from the previous month. One year ago, the average selling price was $73,183.

“The general economic news still is not great, but there are starting to be a few stories here and there that paint a little brighter picture than the doom and gloom we have been seeing,” Lawrence said.
