Blue Ox, a towing product supplier, announced the company’s newest weight distribution hitch, the TowPro.

The TowPro has built-in friction sway control, and will replace the Blue Ox Round Bar Hitch in the company’s weight distribution lineup.

“Blue Ox is the No. 1 choice for flat towing products and are focused on becoming the No. 1 choice for weight distribution,” Chairman and CEO Mike Hesse stated. “Our quality is proven with our SwayPro and TrackPro weight distributing hitches and we want to bring that quality and highest level of service to all towing customers.”

Rather than using chains to attach to snap-up brackets, Blue Ox uses fixed L-brackets on the trailer frame to control sway.

Additional TowPro features include a pre-installed hitch ball, 2-point friction sway control, round spring bars and powder-coated steel construction.

“This is an exciting time for Blue Ox,” Director of Sales Alex Walker stated. “We are continuing to expand and innovate in all lines of towing. Our team is ready to have all of our current and new customers on board.”

The TowPro hitch will be available in 600-, 800- and 1,200-pound tongue weights with a gross trailer weight of 10,000 pounds. Delivery plans for the hitch begin in 2021’s second quarter, Blue Ox stated.
