Brown & Brown, Inc. has expanded its board of directors to include Jaymin B. Patel, Perennial Climate Inc. executive chairman.
“Jaymin has a proven history of leading companies and serving on a variety of boards of privately held and publicly traded companies,” said H. Palmer Proctor, Jr., Brown & Brown’s lead independent director. “His extensive background operating businesses in regulated industries, combined with his unique combination of international experience, insurance knowledge and financial acumen, makes him a fantastic addition to our board of directors.”
Patel served as the Perennial Climate Inc. executive chairman, a platform measuring, reporting and verifying soil-based carbon removal and climate-smart agriculture. Before he held that position, he was chief executive officer and director of Brightstar Corporation, a wireless device services company.
