Members of the Campground Association for Management Professionals (C.A.M.P.) plan to meet in Washington on June 5 at the campground coalition gathering.
The meeting will occur in conjunction with RVIA’s “RVs Move America Week.”
C.A.M.P. President Michael Moore said, “State campground association directors are already going to be in Washington to meet with legislators during ‘RVs Move America Week.’ So, it makes sense for C.A.M.P. members to meet at that time as well, and RVIA has been very welcoming.”
C.A.M.P. members will discuss current events during the coalition meeting, including tariffs’ effect on U.S. campgrounds and RV parks. Members will discuss the newly enhanced state association member benefits. The discussion will reflect OHI’s decision to move to a direct membership model rather than having state associations act as OHI’s dues collectors for campgrounds.
“Affiliated state association directors had been limited in what member benefits they could offer in the past and to what extent, but that is no longer the case, as we work together as a group and use our reach to leverage the best value possible for our members nationwide,” Moore said. “This would include working closer with Hospitality Connections, the American Glamping Association and other organizations. It is a very exciting time.”
