Camping World Holdings has signed an agreement to build its first location in Wyoming, acquiring 9 acres of land in the state. Additionally, the company will acquire multi-location Hilltop RV Superstore in Michigan next month.

Camping World will construct its new Wyoming-based SuperCenter in Cheyenne, with an anticipated opening in late 2021/early 2022.

“We are excited to open our first location in the state of Wyoming as we propel toward our goal of a national recreational dealer platform in all 48 contiguous states,” company CEO Marcus Lemonis said. “Each location we open across the U.S. represents significant economic impact for the communities and convenient customer service, and products for the 5.3 million active customers we serve. We are looking forward to developing this land and making Cheyenne our new home.”

In addition, Camping World will acquire two dealerships in Escanaba and Ishpeming, Michigan, by purchasing Hilltop RV. The deal is expected to close in May.

“Michigan is consistently a strong market for the RV and outdoor enthusiast,” Lemonis said. “This acquisition expands our reach into the upper peninsula of Michigan and allows us to bring our assortment closer to the consumer to fulfill their needs.”

Once completed, the acquisition will bring the company’s Michigan locations to six total.

Camping World currently owns and operates more than 170 SuperCenters nationwide and an e-commerce platform, specializing in RV sales and service, RV parts and accessories, outdoor lifestyle products and its portfolio of Good Sam products and services.
