Canada’s RV Care Dealers Plan for 2020

RV Care of Canada

RV Care, Canada’s Largest RV Dealer Network, held its Fourth National Dealers Meeting in Toronto, Ontario last month. More than 100 staff members from 70 Canadian dealerships and 15 U.S. and Canadian premier partners attend the event on Dec. 1 in Toronto, Ontario. The theme of the meeting was “Get Connected” which featured robust new web-based platforms to drive the group’s internal capabilities. Another point of emphasis for the meeting was identifying RV consumer touch points and marketing initiatives designed to connect with consumers.

“The underlying challenge, with our aggressive growth, has been unifying the group’s message and finding the consensus that all dealers will support, with purpose,” VP of Sales and Marketing Derek Paterson said. “This is the ultimate goal. What is undisputable, is that we, our dealers and vendor partners, all want the same thing, which is to satisfy more RVing customers’ needs.

“This meeting also focused on presenting more ways for us to connect our network brand with our dealers’ brands so everyone can see the advantages and benefits they have when supporting our network,” he said. “By all accounts the message to the group was really well received, as was confirmed through the instant question and answer software we used during the day.”

Earlier in the year, RV Care announced its new partnership with Kampgrounds of America (KOA). Toby O’Rourke, President and CEO of KOA, was the keynote speaking for the national meeting. She presented data on trends in the camping industry and discussed how KOA is at the forefront of understanding the consumers and positioning themselves accordingly, in order to sustain their continued growth. Her message was positioned to assist RV Care and its dealers in how to align the network with the changing RVing demands.

Closing remarks were offered by Norm Rosen, an industry veteran in the RV publishing business, who has long-standing relationships with many RV Care dealers. Rosen recognized that 2019 was RV Care’s 20th Anniversary and congratulated the founding members in attendance.

The RV Care Network has been a part of the Canadian RV landscape since 1999. The group is comprised of 78 dealer locations that are committed to servicing each other’s traveling customers in times of need.
