Canadian attendance in Sobel University’s new online classes equaled or surpassed the attendance of U.S.-based dealers. The free online classes became available to RVDA and RVDA of Canada members at the beginning of April. Based on attendance, statistics indicate Canadians trounced the much larger U.S.-based population of dealer employees in taking advantage of the opportunity.
The free classes are based on author Randy Sobel’s book “Principle Centered Selling.” Sobel is president of the university. Classes cover a host of selling best practices. To see a list of classes offered click here.
“I’m proud of how the Canadian dealers are taking training seriously,” Sobel University President Randy Sobel said. “I have learned over the years that northern states and Canadians have been forced to develop stronger study skills in order to survive shortened selling seasons. I believe they are studying more diligently now, as if it was the off season, and they will be the first to thrive as we come out of these challenging times.”
The free Principle Centered Selling training was offered as a way for the university to give back to the industry. With a number of dealer employees working from home or furloughed, the company decided to offer the training to prepare employees for when they return to work. Sobel said taking advantage of RV manufacturer training on product knowledge is another way to prepare for the busy summer season.
