A new fifth wheel hitch is coming to supplier Curt’s towing product lineup.

The company stated its new PowerRide 30K offering can tow the largest RVs, campers and fifth wheel trailers. It features a 30,000-pound rating and includes a cast head with multi-directional tilt, self-resetting handle and enhanced portability. No welding or fabricating is required for installation, Curt stated.

“With its 30,000 gross trailer weight rating and 7,500-pound vertical load limit, this Curt fifth wheel offers exceptional towing power and is constructed with a cast steel main body for dependable strength,” the supplier stated.

Curt noted its PowerRide hitch uses two interlocking jaws to fully wrap the kingpin for less chucking. The product’s head tilts in multiple directions to promote a “smooth ride.” The self-resetting handle saves users an extra step in the hookup process.

The company stated the product’s fifth wheel head is equipped with a durable wear indicator, which contributes to smoother towing and eliminates needing a grease or lube plate. The PowerRide is tested to SAE J2638 safety specifications.
