Demco Products, a towing solutions supplier, will launch the first foldable, gooseball-mounted fifth wheel hitch next month.
Recon Stealth is the newest evolution in the Recon lineup. Demco said the hitch delivers full fifth-wheel strength in a compact, easy-to-store design.
Conventional fifth wheel hitches can be heavy, difficult to remove, and often sacrifice valuable bed space. Demco developed Recon Stealth’s patent-pending folding base to collapse into a small, movable package with a simple motion.
The company said RVers can keep their truck beds open and reclaim that valuable space when the hitch is not in use; all without lifting a hitch in and out of the bed.
Demco said Recon Stealth’s three-piece design offers a unique combination of being easy to store, with the performance required for demanding towing environments. The company said each component is lightweight and manageable on its own. When not in use, the hitch can be stored in a truck bed, camper compartment or even on a garage shelf.
Demco developed an all-new optional bulkhead (front of the bed near the cab) MOLLE Rack, engineered to secure the folded hitch during travel or downtime.
The company said practicality was just as important as storage in Recon Stealth’s development. When it is time to tow, the hitch can be installed or removed in under five minutes using only a torque wrench and two sockets.
Demco said Recon Stealth retains the same proven Recon gooseball-mounted design, sharing the same head, upright and gooseball attachment system as the standard Recon Gooseball. The design includes Demco’s wrap-around jaw with lock bar and dual-articulation head.
The company said three height adjustments and 4-inch and 5-inch tall 2-5/16″ gooseball compatibility cover a wide range of applications, with universal fitment for all OEM fifth-wheel/gooseneck prep packages and other aftermarket gooseneck hitches.
Demco will showcase the Recon Stealth hitch and MOLLE Rack at the Florida RV SuperShow (Jan. 13-18, 2026), where the company will also announce the product’s official weight rating. The Recon Stealth will also be on display at the RV Meyer Mega Show (Jan. 12-14, 2026) and the NTP-Stag Expo (Jan. 20-21, 2026).
