Dexter Leadership Makes Transition

Adam Dexter has stepped down as president of trailer industry manufacturer Dexter after more than 30 years of service.

He was the third generation of the Dexter family to lead the company that his grandfather, Leonard Dexter, ran in the 1950s and bought in the 1960s.

Adam Dexter will continue to support the company, a DexKo Global Inc. subsidiary, as an executive advisor in preparation for his 2026 retirement.

Matt Powell has been named the new president. The company said he brings “extensive experience in manufacturing, operations and strategic growth, most recently serving as group vice president at Modine Manufacturing Co.”

Adam Dexter said, “Dexter has always been about people—our team, our customers and our partners. I am confident Matt will carry that forward with the same passion and integrity.”
