Dometic Unveils Next-Generation Furnace

Dometic 35K Furnace Essential

Dometic launched its newest innovation in RV climate control: the Dometic 35K Furnace Essential.

The next-generation furnace returns to the market with major upgrades for RV manufacturers, dealers and consumers.

The 35K Essential eliminates one of the most common points of failure in RV heating systems—the traditional sail switch—by introducing the industry-first, patent-pending Hall Effect Sensor. The automotive-grade, debris-resistant sensor removes moving parts for increased durability and consistent performance.

Tim Hall, Dometic regional president for Americas at land vehicle segment, said the 35K Furnace Essential reflects the supplier’s commitment to deliver smarter and stronger solutions.

“Our goal was to create a smarter furnace that delivers more comfort with less hassle,” Hall said. “With more even heat and up to 22% more airflow than the leading competitor in ducted applications, the 35K achieves that and keeps RVs warmer, more efficiently—and without the cold spots.”

The 35K includes a one-piece, tubular heat exchanger for superior heat transfer and no backflow or cracking. The furnace has precision airflow with a unique air baffle design and built-in Soft Start technology, reducing in-rush current by up to 80%. The furnace has a compact, intuitive design—horizontal or vertical—for easy installation and long-term serviceability.

Assembled in Greenbrier, Tennessee, the 35K has fast and reliable lead times and parts availability—reducing warranty claims, timing and repair complexity. The furnace can be ordered in a bulk pack or a single pack.

Later this year, Dometic said it will release similar updates to its full furnace family to provide flexibility and innovation no matter the size of the RV.
