Dragonfly Energy introduced two new battery models to its consumer line, Battle Born Batteries.

The deep-cycle BB8D and BBGC3 batteries are made with different form factors, the company stated, but use the same “LiFePO4” technology as other Battle Born offerings.

“The BBGC3 is unlike any other battery on the market today,” the company stated.

The BBGC3 is 22.83 inches long by 7.09 inches wide by 13.15 inches tall, in addition to weighing 75 pounds. Its “unique form” has unlimited mounting possibilities, Dragonfly stated.

The new batteries can discharge to 100 percent of their rated capacity each use, Dragonfly stated. They can be charged five times faster than a standard lead-acid battery.

“Both batteries are perfect for consumers looking to get the most out of their rigs, whether it is a large RV or an isolated, energy independent cabin,” the company stated. “Battle Born Batteries allow customers greater flexibility for what they can power and how they install their battery systems, providing a level of energy independence that other batteries cannot offer.”

The BB8D is modeled after a standard 8D battery, Dragonfly stated, but contains Battle Born Batteries’ lithium-ion architecture. The BB8D weighs 75 pounds and is 21.29 inches long by 11.59 inches wide by 10.01 inches tall.

“The BB8D is perfect for marine based applications or for those looking to power large off-grid applications,” Dragonfly stated.

The offerings are built to last 10 to 15 years, the company noted. The BB8D battery retails starting at $2,800, with the BBGC3 model starting at $2,900.

Dragonfly Energy also will add the DF8D to its OEM-exclusive lineup. The company launched the GC3 as a 250 amp-hour battery last year, which will be offered as a 270 amp-hour battery. In addition, the company noted the GC3H model will be available to those seeking a heated battery option.
