Driving Policy Webinars: Trade and Infrastructure

RVIA Driving Policy webinar logo

The RVIA is hosting two upcoming members-only webinars that will delve into two of the most pressing federal policy areas: trade and infrastructure.

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, RVIA Senior Manager of Government Affairs Samantha Rocci, and Vice President of Government Affairs at Sorini, Samet & Associates Daniel Neumann, will provide detailed insight on how the current trade policy affects businesses in the RV industry.

Neumann served the Democratic staff of the Joint Economic Committee where he organized hearings examining the U.S. manufacturing sector and provided voting recommendations on free trade agreements. He also served on the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission where he contributed to the commission’s annual report on the U.S.-China relationship. He was also integral in the RV industry efforts to secure duty-free treatment of lauan wood last year.

On Wednesday, Feb. 19, RVIA Director of Government Affairs Chris Bornemann, will present a detailed overview of the infrastructure proposals pending in Congress, and how these proposals impact the RV industry and their chances of being enacted.

Infrastructure presents a rare opportunity for significant bipartisan legislation to pass—in a year where such broad actions by Congress seem unlikely. But both Democrats and Republicans can agree that we need to fix our crumbling roads and bridges, and many are optimistic at the chances of an infrastructure package making it through.

Both webinars are available to RV Industry Association members only and will take place at 2 p.m. ET.
