The Alliance RV Owners Group will conduct its first owner empowerment rally, including an RV Fundamentals class exclusively for Alliance buyers, Oct. 31-Nov. 4 at the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA).

Alliance owners Charles and Leslie Tyer came up with the idea for the event to educate owners and give them confidence when using their coaches. The rally and class are part of Alliance RV’s ongoing owner empowerment effort.

“There is a huge need for service. If we can help alleviate that with education, we want to do that,” said Jeremiah Dumka, Alliance RV general manager, Paradigm/Valor. “We are giving customers a fishing rod to help themselves. We will teach them how to do basic repairs should they want the resources to do that… a lot of people are receptive to that, especially if they are at, say, a permanent campsite. We want to empower them to swap out a light, so they don’t have to wait three weeks for service to get back to camping.”

Upon completion of the 40-hour RV Fundamentals class, Alliance owners will have skills to assess and troubleshoot key RV systems, including DC electrical, AC electrical, propane and plumbing, as well as the ability to maintain an RV refrigerator, air conditioner, water heater and furnace.

“This course is designed to help RV owners address 80% of issues they are likely to encounter with their RVs, thus saving them potentially thousands of dollars in repair costs,” Boyer said.

Boyer said the classes offered at NRVTA pair perfectly with Alliance’s owner empowerment initiatives. The company is always receptive to opportunities to improve owners’ experience.

“So, when I spoke to Valor owners Charles and Leslie Tyer about their idea of taking the RV Fundamentals class with fellow Alliance owners, we loved the idea,” Boyer said.

Customers will receive a complimentary digital version of the RVTechcourse.com home-study course that can be reviewed at any time upon successful completion of live training.

Alliance owners can register for the RV Fundamentals training event through NRVTA by calling 903-386-0444 to speak with a student advisor.
